IMED Spring 2013

This Spring 2013, one of the classes I took was IMED with Professor Ghosh. I learned so much in this course because it challenged me in ways which I had not been before. Making the website was definitely the hardest part of this class because I had never done something like it. I was used to editing pictures or just making a basic spreadsheet, but the website recquired steps which I was not used to. I also liked making the poster because of how I got to use my initial design to represent a point to the judges during my Capstone presentation. Overall, this was a great class to take and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Video

When I heard about making a video, I wanted to do a "How to" video since it was the easiest, but after I had made it and edited it, I learned that it had to be a video pertaining to something from Richland Collegiate High School. The video was meant to be used for the video yearbook, but I didn't know that. Since I had already made a video, I didn't feel like making a brand new one because of how hard I had worked on the last one.

Website

Making the website has been the hardest thing I've done in a photoshop class yet. It was hard for me to grasp the concept of doing the steps in a certain order. I kept messing up on when to do certain things, but in the end, my website turned out pretty well. I like how there are different layers to the screen and the color scheme that I chose. It's a great representation of my company layout that I have planned and it will effectively demonstrate my project to the judges.

Poster

While making a poster for Capstone, I learned that it was a lot harder to make a great poster than previously thought. I thought that you could use Paint and get the same quality products as Photoshop. It was actually difficult and challenging to make a product that was worth presenting to the judges. The best part of making the poster was knowing that I would get to use a laminated copy at the end for my overall project.

My Logo

This is my logo that I made; the colors that I chose are a few of my favorite colors at this time, and the font was chosen because of how elegant it is. I just did this design because it was pretty.

Logo that I like

I like this logo because of how it is unique and the colors work well together. They complement each other and the whole picture looks simple and not overpowering.
